Africa’s most innovative and progressive mobile conference to debut in Lagos, Nigeria in February 2011

I had the pleasure of attending Mobile Web East Africa in Nairobi Kenya, earlier this year 2010. The event turned out to be well-patronized with mobility experts mostly from East Africa descending on Nairobi for the two-day conference. Granted that we all know the impact of mobile telecoms in Africa, the Kenya event further opened my eyes to the bright reality as the industry players were at hand to share the detailed industry statistics and offer insights into their practical experience. Thus, attendees who choose to implement the ideas shared at that event would not be shooting in the dark.

Before Nairobi, the organizers all amber had held the premier event in South Africa in 2009 with another being held in September this year. The Mobile Web Africa event is coming to West Africa for the first time. This is even more significant because West Africa is home to the biggest mobile market in Africa; Nigeria has the honour of having the highest number of mobile telecom subscribers. It is thus expected that Mobile Web West Africa would be the most impactful of all. Find the full press release from the organizers, below:
