I have just noticed a new service from Google. It is called Google Sites and it enables an average individual to build a website through a simple web interface.
This is their pitch: “Google Sites makes creating and sharing a group website easy. Google Sites is powerful enough for a company Intranet, yet simple enough for a family website.”
The new service allows a single-click webpage creation, does not require knowledge of HTML (the programming language used for designing websites), gives control for customizing the look-and-feel of your webpage, provides settings for accessing/sharing information, and it is free-of-charge.
Google is definitely dominating the web with their legion of web services. It appears Google is into everything on the internet these days and I will not be surprised when they get into trouble with regulators in future, about anti-competitive moves just like Microsoft did a few years ago. As of now, Microsoft still dominates computers while Google dominates the web. However, the future of computing is moving to the web so Google is only consolidating its position as king.

great idea, but I dont think it will be that easy to create a site with a single click
for the host and free site concept it is great. but for the questions to believe for post, outlook, customization some one not agree with the same sites
It reminds me of yahoo’s site builder which has been on since 2000 or thereabout.
