Etisalat pays $2.9bn to the Egyptian govt. for 3G licence

Egypt’s National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA) on Monday signed its third mobile network license contract with Etisalat Consortium which won the NTRA bid against nine strongly competing European, African, Arab and Asian consortiums.
